Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Program Director for its Power & Energy Program Management Office in Portland, ME. This role leads large, complex EHV projects, guiding budgets, schedules, and KPIs while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities include governance development, strategic risk management, and proactive project delivery, with travel as needed. A senior PM background and strong leadership are required to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related major or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of post-education experience in a project management role.
• Advanced understanding of project delivery in large-scale programs (DBB, EPC, PDB).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and business acumen to bridge PM with operations.
• Proven ability to lead multiple large, complex projects and programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the most complex, large-scale programs ensuring budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and QA/QC are delivered.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels, maintain relationships, and report progress.
• Participate in contract negotiations, presentations, and client meetings.
• Ensure profitable performance and successful completion of projects.
• Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary teams and strategic client guidance.
• Develop and maintain governance docs (RMP, PMP, QP, PSP, Communications Plans).
• Lead project mgmt discipline meetings and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop recovery plans for budget overruns and communicate with clients.
