Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a VP-level origination-focused banker to build and manage a book of US and Canadian corporate and FI clients from a blank slate. You will travel to meet clients, perform due diligence, and tailor solutions with the bank's product set, while owning credit risk across your portfolio.

You will also ensure KYC, AML, and BSA compliance and supervise an Assistant RM, with a strong emphasis on independent work and effective communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years international banking experience.
• Minimum 3 years marketing to US corporate clients.
• Strong working knowledge of trade finance, receivables and related lending products.
• Ability to work independently, communicate well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Identify and originate new US and Canadian corporate relationships
• Travel regularly to meet target clients, conduct due diligence, and build relationships from first contact through close
• Develop a clear view of each client's financial needs and match them to the bank's product set, working with Credit Admin, Operations, and Bank counsel to get deals over the line
• Own credit risk monitoring across your client portfolio, including annual reviews and covenant compliance, taking first-line-of-defense accountability
• Maintain KYC, AML, and BSA compliance across your book, including regular risk assessments per account
• Line manage an Assistant RM who provides administrative support
