Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada invites applications for a Vice President role in the Global Private Capital Group within Global Investment Banking. You will lead private capital market transactions and be the primary contact on deals across multiple sectors in New York.

The role emphasizes model building, deal execution, and development of marketing materials, with mentoring responsibilities for Associates and Analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and MBA, MA, or MS or equivalent emphasis in finance/accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Investment Banking.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to maintain relationships at all levels.
• Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of capital markets, finance, and accounting.
• Maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct; represent RBC in community and industry activities.
• FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.

Responsibilities

• Private capital market transactions across growth capital raises, acquisition financing, recapitalizations, and PIPEs for private and public companies.
• Serve as the primary day to day contact on private capital market transactions and new business pitches across various industry sectors.
• Lead day to day execution of private capital mandates; create financial models and execution materials for deals.
• Create and refine new business marketing presentations for pitches and bake-offs.
• Mentor and train Associates and Analysts in the Group.
• Cultivate and develop relationships with private market investors across strategies and sectors.
• Partner with other Global Investment Banking groups to evaluate and originate new business ideas and opportunities.
