Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. seeks a Vice President of National Leasing to lead strategy and execution across markets, driving occupancy, revenue growth, and operational excellence.

You will partner with senior leadership to align leasing initiatives with enterprise goals and build a high-performing national leasing organization. You will lead talent development, set quality standards, and advance leasing technology adoption to improve efficiency, visibility, and the resident experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ten years of progressive sales and revenue generation experience.
• Seven years of senior leadership experience.
• Leasing, real estate, or property management leadership preferred.
• Deep knowledge of leasing operations, sales strategy and revenue in a large multi-market portfolio.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen including ROI analysis.
• Experience evaluating and optimizing leasing tech solutions.
• Ability to elevate end-to-end leasing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; executive influence.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Operations, Pricing, Finance, HR.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and leasing compliance.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of the company’s national leasing strategy across markets.
• Use market intel and demand trends to guide decisions and occupancy goals.
• Measure leasing initiatives' effectiveness and drive business value.
• Partner with Finance and Revenue Management to align forecasts and objectives.
• Lead the national leasing team; set performance standards and coach talent.
• Develop talent and foster continuous improvement in the leasing organization.
• Serve as the primary leasing partner to regional and divisional leaders.
• Own the resident leasing experience from inquiry to move-in and beyond.
• Direct enterprise pre-leasing strategy for build-to-rent and align with asset delivery.
