Job summary

Fifth Third Bank, N.A. is seeking an Emerging Middle Market Relationship Manager, VP to drive profitable client development in Detroit and surrounding MI markets. You will lead relationship strategies, collaborate with One Bank partners, and analyze complex credit demands to provide tailored banking solutions.

The role requires 4+ years in commercial banking, strong credit training, and proven ability to grow revenue through client engagement. Travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years Commercial Banking experience, preferably 3+ years in a sales role.
• Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent credit experience required.
• Ability to build new and existing client business translating to increased revenue.
• Strong business acumen, financial statement analysis and accounting understanding.
• Knowledge of Commercial, Treasury Management and lending options.
• Ability to assess client needs and leverage One Bank partnerships.
• Proven communication skills and experience in negotiations.
• Team player with CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Willingness to travel regionally/locally.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for clients independently using referrals, existing clients and COIs.
• Develop and implement business plans to achieve financial goals.
• Collaborate with internal partners to deepen relationships.
• Attend community and industry events to expand networks.
• Analyze financial info to tailor client credit solutions.
• Meet clients regularly to maintain trusted advisor status.
• Leverage consultative sales skills and CRM plans to improve client experience.
• Track activity and pipeline in CRM; coordinate with Credit for requests.
