Job summary

Citi is seeking an experienced engineer to architect, design and deploy electronic archive and messaging products across regulatory requirements. Qualifications

• Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in the engineering and deployment of electronic archive and messaging products in large-scale installations within a financial institution or comparable environment (100K+ users).
• Experience implementing regulatory archive and email/messaging solutions and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and internal corporate requirements; prior ITIL/ITSM project-management experience.
• Technical knowledge of SMTP RFC 5321 & RFC 2822, transmission, routing, delivery and acknowledgment processes.
• Experience with Smarsh, ZL, MS Exchange, MS Teams and Proofpoint product suites.
• Understanding of cloud computing technologies and models, preferably with Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Networking knowledge covering email solutions, chat messaging, firewalls, SMTP relays, crypto technologies in Microsoft environments.
• Project management experience ensuring milestones are delivered on time and within budget, integrating with other Citi user platforms.
• Proficiency in Windows, Linux, IIS, Apache, NGINX, MS Active Directory, Exchange, SQL/Oracle databases, and scripting languages (PowerShell, VBScripting, JScript, Unix shell, Perl, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and develop new Archive products, enhancements and services for the messaging compliance space based on global business and regulatory requirements.
• Work with vendors to formulate contract revisions, negotiate SOWs and SLAs to meet Citi’s objectives, budgets and timelines.
• Collaborate with country stakeholders to define the policies needed to deliver a fully compliant and cost‑effective archive strategy.
• Ensure electronic messaging products are compliant with laws, rules and policies for archiving, retention, supervision and controls while meeting Citi security standards.
• Govern standards for compliance products and integrate them into Citi production systems, operational models and processes.
• Develop effective risk‑management plans and ensure compliance solutions adhere to Citi Risk Management guidelines.
• Work with DWCS and eDiscovery groups to measure service performance against SLAs and KRIs.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Business Owners, country SMEs and Technology SMEs to satisfy local requirements.
• Maintain and support the life‑cycle of all software/hardware components via solid engineering releases, testing, documentation and script packages.
• Formulate complete business cases and project plans for all phases including RFI/proposal, PoC, budgeting, deployment, testing and documentation.
• Supervise and promote Citi engineering products globally, providing guidance on adoption and implementation of new technologies and escalation and reviews with regional teams.
