Job summary

Stout, a leading independent valuation advisor, seeks a seasoned Associate/VP to join our Machinery & Equipment Valuation practice in Chicago. You will conduct valuations of tangible assets, support client engagements, and contribute to litigation support and property tax matters.

Applicants bring 3–5 years of valuation experience, a 4-year quantitative degree, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to travel. ASA accreditation a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of valuation advisory experience for complex industrial property.
• 4-year degree in finance, economics, engineering or related field.
• Willingness to travel and work in the United States.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform valuations of tangible assets for litigation support and property tax disputes.
• Perform field inspections when required as part of a valuation project.
• Participate in client or management meetings providing input on valuation methodologies, assumptions and conclusions.
• Support lead experts in developing valuation opinions, evaluating key assumptions and opposing analyses, and preparing for mediation, deposition, arbitration, and trial.
• Prepare comprehensive deliverables and supporting analysis, including presentations, analysis packets, and written narrative reports.
• Use AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve research, analysis, and deliverable preparation.
