Job summary

Stout seeks a valuation professional in Chicago to lead engagements on tangible assets and complex industrial property. You’ll deliver valuations for litigation support, assist with fieldwork, and collaborate with clients on methodologies and conclusions.

You’ll advise senior leaders, prepare reports and presentations, and leverage AI tools to enhance research and outputs while maintaining rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of valuation advisory experience for complex industrial property.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
• Ability to travel.
• Foundational understanding of financial theory, economics, accounting principles, and financial statement analysis.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in industrial property and valuation disputes.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to document workpapers clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational abilities; ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and accountability for work quality.
• Professional presence and ability to build relationships with clients and leadership.
• Work toward ASA accreditation.
• Familiarity with AI tools to improve productivity.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform valuations of tangible assets for litigation support and property tax disputes.
• Perform field inspections when required as part of a valuation project.
• Participate in client meetings providing input on valuation methodologies, assumptions and conclusions.
• Support lead experts in developing valuation opinions and preparing for mediation, deposition, arbitration, and trial.
• Prepare comprehensive deliverables including presentations and written narratives.
• Use AI-enabled tools to improve research, analysis, and deliverables while following firm standards.
