Job summary

KB Home, a leading homebuilder in Charlotte, seeks a Senior Land Acquisition Leader to drive strategy and execution for the land team. In this role you will oversee LOIs, negotiations, proformas, and land packages to support the division’s business plans.

You will mentor staff, build relationships with developers, brokers, banks, and owners, and lead the division toward growth and success. A 10+ year background in land acquisition and a business-focused degree are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
10+ years land acquisition, contract negotiation and relationship-building experience.
Prior management experience preferred.
Home building/real estate industry background preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present complex concepts clearly.
Ability to develop relationships with sellers, developers, brokers and related parties.
Proficiency with LandVision and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Identify land opportunities, LOIs, negotiations, proforma analyses, and purchase agreements to support the division.
Prepare, analyze, and timely deliver land packages to the Land Committee.
Lead staffing, training, and retention within the land team.
Develop and implement the division’s land acquisition strategy and policies.
Build strong relationships with external parties (sellers, developers, brokers, lenders).
Design and manage action plans to achieve land acquisition goals.
Direct and manage acquisition staff and evaluate performance for growth targets.
