Job summary

KB Home is seeking a senior land acquisition leader in the Atlanta area to drive strategy and operations for the division. You will set goals, build processes, and lead staffing, training, and retention while fostering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

The role requires a strong background in land acquisition, negotiations, and relationship building, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business-related field or real estate; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years proven experience in land acquisition, contract negotiation and relationship building.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Home building or related construction/real estate industry preferred.
• Leadership skills with strategic planning, team motivation, and a results-driven approach.
• Understands market and industry trends.
• Ability to connect with people and develop professional relationships.
• Action oriented with a drive to close acquisitions.
• Strong verbal & written communication and ability to present persuasively.
• Ability to lead and execute strong oral presentations.
• Strong ability to work within a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively.
• Quick decision-making based on data and metrics.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and LandVision

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for lots/land, LOIs, negotiations, proforma analysis, and purchase agreements.
• Manage preparation, analysis, and timely delivery of land packages to the Land Committee.
• Proactively search for land opportunities using various methods.
• Establish strong relationships with sellers (developers, land owners, brokers, builders).
• Network to represent the division in the market and stay informed of opportunities.
• Assist division staff in building relationship strategies with external parties.
• Design, implement & manage action plans to achieve land acquisition goals.
• Identify areas for improvement to support business plan goals and growth.
• Create a positive work environment to promote productivity.
• Build strong relationships with other division departments to support collaboration.
