Job summary

J.P. Morgan Asset Management is seeking a Vice President within Asset Management - Client Service - Institutional Contract Specialist to independently manage complex contracting matters, draft and negotiate agreement language, and synthesize client feedback for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of relevant experience in contracts, legal/contract support, client onboarding, or institutional client service operations.
• Ability to independently interpret and negotiate complex contract terms, manage redlines, and drive matters to execution with controls and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical writing and executive-level communication skills; ability to distill complex issues and present recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of complex institutional contracting matters from intake through execution.
• Draft, review, and oversee agreement packages using approved templates with accuracy and consistency.
• Lead negotiations with institutional clients and counsel on commercial and operational terms; coordinate material exceptions for review.
• Analyze client redlines and comments; identify issues, themes, and risks; propose language based on precedent and objectives.
• Advise and influence internal stakeholders with concise recommendations and trade-off analysis.
• Maintain audit-ready records, approvals, and version control; manage pipeline priorities, deadlines, and reporting.
• Lead and implement process improvements across templates, playbooks, and workflows; mentor junior team members.
