Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union seeks a Vice President, Information Security to lead the design, evolution, and operational oversight of security engineering capabilities protecting the organization’s systems, data, and digital services.

You will set direction for secure-by-design practices, embed controls across environments, and support growth with regulatory alignment. The role requires senior leadership, cloud/security expertise, and strong communication with executives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading security engineering in regulated environments.
• 8+ years as a people leader with hiring and performance management.
• Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish strategic direction for information security engineering aligned with risk priorities.
• Oversee design, implementation, and maturity of controls across multiple domains.
• Lead senior security engineering leaders and teams to build depth and leadership.
• Partner with executives to integrate security into platforms, products, and services.
• Govern standards, patterns, and guardrails for a scalable security program.
• Oversee security technology investments, vendor relationships, and roadmaps.
• Ensure reliable, available security capabilities to support incident response and continuity.
• Translate policy and regulatory requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Monitor performance and risk indicators for executive leadership.
• Represent security engineering in strategic planning and architecture reviews.
