Bon Appetit Management Company, part of Compass Group USA, seeks a VP of Hospitality based in the Foster City/San Francisco area. You will oversee 11 client locations, manage a 6-person direct team and up to 350 indirect staff, and travel annually to sites to ensure service excellence and financial performance.

The role requires extensive upscale food service experience, strong leadership, and the ability to drive client satisfaction and operational efficiency across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• 12-15 years upscale food service experience, including 10 years at the management level and five to seven years’ experience of multi-unit management; culinary background preferred.
• Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planning.
• Ability to multi-task amid interruptions and make decisions from financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Leads the client portfolio across 11 locations (10 U.S., 1 Canada) from the Foster City/San Francisco offices, with annual travel.
• Ensures efficient operations, resource management, and service distribution across sites.
• Builds strong client relationships and oversees budget forecasting and financial performance.
• Directs a team of 6 direct reports and up to 350 indirect reports to meet company scorecard goals.
• Participates in sales activities and coordinates with site teams to deliver programs and priorities.
