Banner Health is seeking a Vice President, Government Health Programs to lead strategy, operations, growth, and regulatory excellence for a major health plan business. This executive will drive transformation, partner with regulators and providers, and ensure financial stewardship while advancing member outcomes.

The role requires deep Medicare/government program expertise, strategic oversight, and a track record of leading complex health plan initiatives within a large healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Management, Business, or related field required.
• Ten years of progressive administrative leadership experience in health plans preferred.
• Master’s degree and Medicaid/Medicare leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead health plan strategy, growth and regulatory excellence across government programs.
• Oversee financial stewardship and resource utilization to maximize operating margin.
• Maintain regulatory liaison and reporting to local, state and federal agencies.
• Foster relationships with regulators, providers, communities and the Board.
• Drive organizational planning, transformation and service-oriented culture.
