Job summary

EverPeak is seeking a Vice President and General Manager for Workers’ Compensation. This fully remote, senior leadership role drives profitability and growth across all Workers’ Compensation programs, using a blend of traditional and innovative underwriting methods.

You will lead premium audit and underwriting teams, nurture carrier and partner relationships, and shape the underwriting strategy with cross-functional leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Chief Strategist and leadership to set and evolve underwriting strategy across assigned Workers' Compensation programs.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with carriers, reinsurers, distribution partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales and Distribution to develop growth strategies while maintaining profitability from a loss ratio perspective.
• Hold accountability for assigned programs’ books of business and achieve financial, business and customer objectives.
• Work with the Chief Underwriting Officer to align guidelines with goals and regulatory standards.
• Provide oversight and monitor claims activity; identify adverse development trends to inform pricing and appetite adjustments.
• Lead audit teams and underwriting groups, promoting continuous development and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities for continuous process innovation to improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Stay current on tools, analytics and best practices to improve EverPeak’s value proposition and partner with Product/Engineering.
• Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, coverage expansions, and program partnerships.
• Collaborate with actuarial, risk capital and finance to analyze portfolio performance and adjust pricing.
• Ensure compliance with state and carrier regulations and oversee audits of policy operations and underwriting guidelines.
• Contribute to company-wide strategic planning with an underwriting perspective and perform other duties as assigned.
