Insurate is seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Underwriter – Eastern States to grow a profitable middle market portfolio, work with agency partners, and influence underwriting processes.

You will make independent underwriting decisions, collaborate with leadership, and drive profitable growth while working remotely across the U.S. Eastern region. Strong emphasis on risk analysis and program strategy, with bonus and equity participation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workers' Compensation underwriting experience.
• Strong expertise underwriting Eastern States workers' compensation business including PA, NJ, DE.
• Demonstrated success underwriting middle market accounts.
• Experience underwriting high hazard operations, construction risks, multi-state and multi-entity exposures.
• Collaborative, capable of independent decision-making in remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage an Eastern States middle market portfolio.
• Underwrite nationwide workers' compensation business submitted through agency partners.
• Evaluate and structure guaranteed cost and deductible programs.
• Perform comprehensive underwriting analysis and loss run review.
• Collaborate with Claims and Loss Control on complex risks.
• Build relationships with agency partners and support profitable growth.
• Partner with Business Development Executives and MGA Director on strategy.
