The Role

Wyndham is looking for a sales leader who will lead a growing and diverse team of sellers focused on identifying, developing, and nurturing customer relationships to drive consistent revenue growth within the Corporate Majors and New Business Development segments. The ideal candidate will play a hands-on role by providing strategic sales direction, coaching a team of Corporate Sales Directors, and providing the Senior Director of New Business Development with guidance and leadership. This individual will oversee sales planning, execution of sales strategies, and sales forecasting resulting in improved pipeline generation, deal sizes and win rates. The VP is a leadership role within the sales organization and is expected to drive synergies across not only the Corporate and New Business Development teams but all segments of GSO.

What you'll do
  • Ensure team and individual performance is actively measured against stated goals and objectives to drive performance.
  • High level of focus on building a positive sales culture and team.
  • Develop relationships and establishes credibility with top executive stakeholders of large and medium corporate accounts alongside your sellers.
  • Improve Wyndham’s market share by leading account sellers and challenging them to grow their established individual account base as well as new account base.
  • Strong focus on setting tactical action plans that lead to revenue & goal attainment.
  • Foster collaborative and strong internal relationships within WHG and Wyndham Worldwide business units to ensure all resources and revenue generating opportunities are maximized.
  • Ability to review market conditions and trends then advise sellers of opportunities and collaborate on a strategy/sales development plan.
You'll be successful if you have
  • The ability to hold sellers accountable for performance/metric-based results.
  • Strong negotiation and solution selling skills.
  • Proven capability as a leader of a remote based sales team.
  • The ability to have difficult conversations with a seller.
  • Proven success building high volume accounts.
Required Qualifications/Experience
  • Minimum 10 years sales leadership experience.
  • Experience in managing sales teams with a $35M+ quota target.
  • Solution selling skills.
  • Experience with territory plans and sales forecasting.
