Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a hands-on Vice President, Global Controller to lead accounting, tax, treasury, and procurement across a scaling software business. You will own monthly closes, consolidations, and financial reporting while partnering with the CFO and executive team to shape the company’s global footprint and internal controls.

You will drive international tax strategy, multi-currency treasury, and vendor management as Temporal expands across markets.

Qualifications

12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in a high-growth SaaS or consumption-based software company.
CPA required; Big 4 background preferred.
Expertise in US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition for consumption/usage-based models.
Proven experience building or scaling tax and treasury functions, including international tax and multi-entity operations.
Track record of scaling accounting infrastructure and teams through periods of rapid growth, including international expansion.
Experience preparing an organization for an IPO is strongly preferred.
Experience owning or partnering closely with procurement/vendor management.
Strong systems acumen (NetSuite, Workday, or similar ERP; billing platforms for usage-based revenue).
Excellent communication and executive presence; able to partner with CFO/CEO/board.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

Own all aspects of global accounting operations, including close, consolidations, ASC 606, and financial reporting.
Lead corporate tax strategy and compliance, including international planning and transfer pricing.
Build and manage treasury operations: cash management, FX exposure, and multi-currency deployment.
Own global procurement and vendor management: source-to-pay, contract negotiation, spend controls.
Design and scale accounting infrastructure, systems, and processes (ERP/billing/close automation).
Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment (SOX-ready).
Lead annual financial statement audit and manage external relationships.
Guide international expansion from a finance perspective: entity structuring and compliance.
Partner with cross-functional leaders on deal structuring and revenue recognition for new pricing models.
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global accounting and tax team.
