Job summary

MRI Software is seeking a strategic Vice President, Tax to build and lead the global tax function, transitioning key responsibilities from an external provider to an internal center of excellence to drive visibility and control across the enterprise.

The role will oversee tax planning, compliance, reporting, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and tax risk across MRI's international operations, with treasury collaboration and ongoing support for growth, acquisitions, and global expansion.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive tax leadership experience.
• Experience building or transforming an internal tax function.
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, international tax, transfer pricing, and ASC 740.
• Experience in a private equity-backed SaaS/software business is a plus.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead MRI's global tax function.
• Develop and execute a multi-year strategy to transition tax activities internal.
• Oversee global direct and indirect tax compliance across jurisdictions.
• Lead quarterly and annual tax provision and reporting.
• Advise on tax implications of business initiatives and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with treasury on cash planning and intercompany funding.
• Partner with Legal, Accounting, and Corporate Development on strategic initiatives.
