Citi in Tampa, FL is seeking a Full Stack Java Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of mission-critical applications. You will write code, pair with engineers, mentor talent, and influence technology strategy within a global org.

Responsibilities include building cloud-native Java apps, breaking down stories, delivering each sprint, and defining standards. Strong Java, Spring Boot, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience developing software in Java.
• Strong grasp of data structures and object-oriented design in Java.
• Cloud-native applications with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• REST and GraphQL services with Spring Boot.
• CI/CD pipelines using Tekton, Harness, CircleCI or Jenkins.
• Agile delivery with peer reviews and testing practices.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack Java applications with cloud-native architectures.
• Write high-quality, testable code and pair with engineers to accelerate delivery.
• Break down user stories and acceptance criteria for backlog clarity.
• Deliver working software each sprint as an active contributor in an Agile team.
• Design and document enterprise-grade applications using current tech patterns.
• Apply engineering expertise across the SDLC and resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Help define and evolve technical and team engineering standards.
• Partner with technical leadership to shape architecture decisions.
