Job summary

Travere Therapeutics in San Diego, CA is seeking a Vice President of FP&A to lead planning, forecasting, budgeting and strategic financial analysis enabling growth and value creation for patients and shareholders.

The role partners with the CFO and executive leadership to align financial plans with corporate priorities, drive capital allocation, and build scalable finance processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a related discipline required.
• MBA, CFA or other advanced business/finance credential preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible finance leadership experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience leading enterprise FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning and financial performance management for a publicly traded company.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and Boards of Directors on strategic planning and capital allocation.
• Experience developing financial models, scenario analyses, and investment assessment frameworks.
• Experience supporting business development activities including financial diligence, licensing, M&A, and post-transaction integration.
• Strong understanding of biotechnology financial drivers and portfolio prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Company's finance planning and analysis function: budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, scenario analysis, financial modeling, and performance reporting.
• Serve as strategic advisor to CFO and executive leadership on enterprise strategy, capital allocation, and priorities.
• Lead enterprise‑wide resource allocation and portfolio investment analyses to maximize long‑term value creation.
• Represent Finance with investors, banking partners, auditors, advisors and Board members.
• Lead financial evaluation and integration planning for M&A, licensing transactions, collaborations, and corporate development initiatives.
• Develop integrated financial models, forecasting methodologies, KPIs, and analytical tools to improve decision-making.
• Oversee monthly performance reporting, variance analyses, and Board materials with actionable insights.
• Support capital markets activities and provide proactive financial decision support.
• Coordinate with R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, IT, HR, Legal, and Accounting to align financial plans with business priorities.
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure alignment of planning, reporting, and external guidance.
• Lead transformation of Finance processes, systems, and planning tools for scalability and efficiency.
• Mentor and develop Finance organization, focusing on succession planning and continuous improvement.
