SUMMARY
Hallmark Media is seeking a strategic and analytical Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead our financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be a key business partner in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and optimizing resource allocation across our media portfolio. The VP, FP&A will provide insightful analysis to drive growth, enhance operational efficiency, and support corporate initiatives in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess business performance and drive strategic decision-making.
- Provide executive leadership with financial insights and recommendations to support growth initiatives, cost optimization, and profitability improvements.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to align financial planning with company objectives.
- Partner with content, distribution, marketing, and operations teams to evaluate the financial impact of key initiatives, investments, and partnerships.
- Drive analysis on revenue trends, expense management, capital investments, and return on investment.
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate goals.
- Support M&A activities, scenario modeling, and long-range strategic planning.
- Implement best practices in FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance financial planning capabilities.
- Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and business partnership.
Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related fields, preferably in high-growth environments within media, entertainment, or streaming.
- Hands on experience working on building organizations or material pivots to existing organizations from the ground up .
- Experience with subscriber models and/or digital advertising supported businesses models.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Proven leadership experience in a senior finance role with a track record of driving financial performance.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning - with high degree of comfort within analytics (coding experience a plus).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior executives.
- Deep understanding of media revenue models, content investment analysis, and distribution economics.
- Experience with financial systems, business intelligence tools, and data analytics. Experience leading an ERP implementation a plus.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of accounting and GAAP. Previous experience or education in accounting a plus.
- Excellent visualization and presentation skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA required.
The salary range for this job is between $175,00- $240,000. Salary rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
