Job summary

Renovo Financial, a Chicago-based private lender, seeks a VP of Finance & Business Insights to lead loan funding, whole loan trading, and analytics. You will partner with the CFO and Capital Markets to manage funding, monitor performance, and build tools in Excel to drive pricing, volumes, and margins.

The role requires 5-10 years of experience, advanced Excel/VBA, and strong cross-functional collaboration with Accounting, Loan Servicing, Post-Closing, and Credit/Risk teams.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• B.A./B.S. from an accredited four-year college/university, MBA preferred.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft EXCEL, including VBA macros.
• Experience building financial analyses and models from scratch using internal databases.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Self-starter with team-oriented personality.
• Willingness to adapt and change with a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools and dashboards to enable streamlined + dynamic loan funding allocation decisioning.
• Facilitate secondary market activities by synthesizing and summarizing loan-level credit data.
• Oversee daily loan funding activity.
• Prepare and distribute monthly investor reporting.
• Prepare daily and weekly cash planning reports and dashboards.
• Track and report on metrics related to financing eligibility and covenants.
• Execute detailed analysis on Renovo's originations, active portfolio, and exit history.
• Perform various ad hoc analysis and other responsibilities as needed.
