Job summary

Express Employment International seeks a Vice President, Express Next, to lead future-focused strategy, innovation, and the business evolution function from our Corporate Headquarters in Oklahoma City. Partner with the SVP of Global Development to shape Horizon 2 and Horizon 3 opportunities, translating them into disciplined experiments and decision-ready recommendations.

This role collaborates across Express, franchisees, and external partners to test assumptions and scale validated concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in strategy, innovation, technology, operations, transformation, or related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional work from concept to implementation readiness.
• Experience developing pilots, products, services, or new business models.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SVP of Global Development to identify and prioritize horizon opportunities.
• Manage Horizon 2 and Horizon 3 opportunity portfolio and allocate resources accordingly.
• Translate opportunities into focused research, experiments, pilots, and incubation plans.
• Establish hypotheses, success criteria, time boundaries, and required resources for experiments.
• Provide senior leadership with concise, decision-ready portfolio updates and recommendations.
• Collaborate with operations, technology, AI, finance, legal, BI, marketing, and franchisees as needed.
