Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a VP to lead the Enterprise Back-End Revenue Cycle Center of Excellence. This role will define operating models, drive multi-client transitions, and own performance across cash, denials, and claims processing.

You will partner with executives to translate operational design into measurable financial outcomes, lead a global COE, and advance AI-enabled improvements while enabling remote work within the U.S..

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive revenue cycle leadership experience across A/R, denials, underpayments and cash management.
• Track record of leading large, matrixed organizations across domestic and global delivery.
• Deep command of CARC/RARC denial management, payer contract mechanics, work queue architecture, and billing edit design.
• Proven ability to translate EHR and billing platforms into scalable operational and automation design (Epic preferred).
• Executive presence with health system CFOs and ability to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise operating model, decision rights, and governance across COE.
• Lead multi-client transitions from client-dedicated delivery to COE with clear cutover plans.
• Drive cash, denial, and inventory performance to meet annual targets across portfolios.
• Sponsor AI-enabled quality assurance, denial and appeal drafting with governance.
• Set technology path and prioritize automation portfolio to achieve enterprise scale.
• Engage with clients and executives; translate operational design into financial outcomes.
