Job summary

Vontier is establishing a new Center of Excellence spanning Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to elevate rigor across product planning, development, and support. The Vice President, Product Excellence will lead this COE, reporting to the Chief Innovation and Growth Officer in Washington, DC.

This builder role requires hands-on leadership as a player-coach, shaping a lean corporate team and influencing operating companies to adopt common standards, tools, and talent practices

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading enterprise-level product functions.
• Experience building centers of excellence.
• Fluent in product management disciplines including roadmapping, portfolio strategy, NPI/stage-gate, pricing, and VOC.
• Ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority.
• Willingness to travel 30–40% across a global portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise COE across Product, Engineering and Product Marketing.
• Set standards, tools, and governance for portfolio reviews and cadence.
• Partner with CPOs/CTO and product marketing to align roadmaps and investments.
• Drive enterprise quality metrics, NPD funnel, and customer outcomes.
• Develop talent and communities of practice across the organization.
