Job summary

Vontier is establishing a new Center of Excellence spanning Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to raise rigor and consistency in how products are planned, built, launched, and supported across the enterprise.

The Vice President, Product Excellence will lead this COE, operating largely through influence with business leaders to set common standards, tools, and talent practices while respecting each market. Travel 30–40% is expected.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of progressive experience in product management, engineering, or product marketing leadership.
• Experience building a center of excellence or enterprise standard across a multi-business organization.
• Fluency in roadmapping, portfolio strategy, NPI/stage-gate, pricing, and VOC programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence with senior operating company leaders who are not direct reports.
• Experience in industrial technology, manufacturing, or related B2B hardware/software.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly (30–40%) across a global operating company portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise product operating system — roadmapping, portfolio governance, stage-gate/NPD process, and cadence.
• Partner with CPOs/product leaders to ensure roadmaps and portfolios are rigorous and data-driven.
• Maintain shared tools, templates, and metrics for product line reviews and decision making.
• Act as the bridge between business product teams and corporate teams for alignment.
