Job summary

Pacific Life in Newport Beach, CA seeks a VP, Head of Enterprise PMO to build and lead a new enterprise Center of Excellence. You will establish standards, governance, and performance discipline to translate strategy into measurable outcomes across a matrixed organization.

You will create the enterprise PMO vision, operating model, and roadmap, leading a high-performing team and coordinating with division PMOs to ensure alignment and execution excellence.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise portfolio management, transformation, strategy execution, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading in financial services, insurance, or another highly regulated industry with governance and risk awareness.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and partners without direct authority.
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams within a hub-and-spoke PMO.

Responsibilities

• Build the enterprise PMO and Center of Excellence with vision, operating model, and roadmap.
• Establish enterprise portfolio governance framework and prioritization.
• Define roles, decision rights, and escalation paths across hub-and-spoke PMOs.
• Coordinate with Strategy, Finance, Risk, Technology, Data, Operations, People Experience.
• Lead health reviews, benefits realization, and program recovery when needed.
• Develop dashboards and narratives for progress, decisions, and value realization.
