Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Enterprise Data Products & Data Architecture to own the vision, standards, and roadmap that connect business strategy to scalable data platforms.

The role partners with Engineering, Product, and Data/Analytics leadership to design cross-system solutions, govern data architecture, ensure security, and drive digital transformation across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/data engineering roles, with 5+ years in architecture leadership.
• Experience architecting both applications and data at scale.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and modern data stack tools.
• Proven track record leading high-performing architecture or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise data product and architecture strategy.
• Establish governance processes, design reviews, and technology radar.
• Lead cross-system solutions including integration, API strategy, and data platforms.
• Partner with executives to shape multi-year technology roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership on data strategy, modeling, governance, and privacy.
• Build and scale a team of solutions and data architects.
• Escalate on architectural risk and manage technical debt.
• Evaluate new technologies and advise on adoption.
• Ensure security, scalability, cost efficiency, and maintainability.
