Job summary

Strive Health is seeking a Vice President of Data Platform to lead the enterprise data platform, data architecture, and governance capabilities. This leader will own end-to-end design, management, reliability, and evolution of Strive’s data warehouse and ensure high-quality, well-governed data for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering/architecture or related discipline.
• 8+ years leading data teams.
• 7+ years designing enterprise data platforms.
• 5+ years owning production data pipelines and warehouse workloads.
• 5+ years integrating diverse data sources.
• 5+ years building governed data models for downstream consumers.
• 3+ years establishing data governance and quality practices.
• 5+ years partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver trusted data products.
• Must meet Strive’s internet connectivity and travel on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, architecture, and long-term roadmap for Strive’s data warehouse and platform.
• Oversee ingestion and hydration across multiple data sources (claims, clinical, EHR, etc.).
• Establish scalable ingestion, transformation, and data-modeling patterns with latency, cost, and recoverability in mind.
• Build scalable processes for Analytics, Data Science, and Medical Economics teams to develop trusted metrics.
• Lead data governance initiatives and ensure consistent protocols across the warehouse.
• Design production observability and alerting for data pipelines and data products.
• Own data incidents from triage to closure with root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Lead durable data governance/quality processes including lineage, contracts, and access controls.
• Partner with product, engineering, data science, analytics, finance, actuarial, and operations teams to deploy data products and model inputs.
