Job summary

State Street is seeking a hands-on Application Engineering Lead (Vice President) to provide engineering leadership for a large-scale, cloud-based platform. You will work in an Agile, cross-functional environment across geographies to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions in AWS.

The role requires mentoring teams, driving production readiness, and communicating progress to senior leadership. You will design and develop cloud-native apps in AWS, lead delivery and architecture

Qualifications

• 12+ years in IT building enterprise apps and data processing systems.
• Experience with multi-platform, multi database and/or multi language environments.
• Hands-on AWS compute services and RDS a plus.
• Strong leadership in Agile delivery and SDLC adherence.
• Financial industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead software teams delivering large-scale enterprise applications.
• Partner with business, architecture, infra and risk teams on tech solutions.
• Oversee design, development, production readiness and stability.
• Mentor engineers and foster innovation and accountability.
• Communicate strategy, risks and progress to senior leadership.
• Design and develop cloud-native apps in AWS for IMS West.
• Provide hands-on support during critical delivery and production issues.
