Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield Association is seeking a strategic technology leader to drive application platforms and AI-enabled capabilities across the enterprise. You will oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of software applications, guiding a high-performing team to deliver scalable, secure solutions on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's preferred.
• 15+ years in healthcare-related environments with large-scale platforms.
• Senior management experience with strategic planning and multi-priority execution.

Responsibilities

• Vision and Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for evolving technology platforms, products, and services to support business opportunities and efficiencies.
• Technology Integration: Stay updated on new technologies and incorporate them into the organization’s technology portfolio.
• Application Development Oversight: Manage custom and packaged application development for various customer groups, ensuring effective digital experiences and system operations.
• Lifecycle Support: Oversee the full lifecycle of systems, from design to operation, involving internal teams, external vendors, and managed services partners.
• Operations Management: Ensure stability and performance of core IT systems and application management functions, meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
• Staff Management: Lead and manage while fostering an engaged, high-performing team.
• Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership and advocate for technology services within the organization. Act as a change agent, driving modernization, Agile delivery, and cloud-focused initiatives.
• Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships across the organization and with external partners, advocating for technology services.
