The Role: Andesite is looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our product development efforts.

What You'll Do:

• Lead product engineering including frontend, backend, and production AI capabilities
• Develop engineering roadmaps and operations plans
• Grow a team of software engineers and data scientists, ranging from generalists to specialists. Expect to grow the team from about 20 to at least double within 12 months.
• Manage development and operations for a fast-growing enterprise product, supporting various deployment environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and sales, to define and deliver solutions that meet market needs and align with company strategy
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team, encouraging knowledge sharing and mentorship

Who You Are:

• Demonstrated experience scaling a startup engineering organization to 50+ employees
• Delivered products involving AI at scale, spanning frontend, backend, and machine learning / AI
• Strong at operations, team building, and delivery
• Deep technical expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences
• A passion for cybersecurity and generative AI technologies, with a desire to innovate in both areas

Even Better If You Have:

• Experience delivering generative AI solutions, including developing models, infrastructure, and training pipelines
• Familiarity with security concepts, tools, and solutions like threat detection, vulnerability scanning, encryption, or authentication
