The Role: Andesite is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead our product development efforts.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Lead product engineering including frontend, backend, and AI capabilities.
  2. Develop engineering roadmaps and operational plans.
  3. Grow and manage a team of software engineers and data scientists, expecting to double the team size within 12 months.
  4. Oversee development and operations for a fast-growing enterprise product across various deployment environments.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver innovative solutions aligned with company strategy.
  6. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Who You Are:

  1. Experienced in scaling a startup engineering organization to 50+ employees.
  2. Have delivered AI-involved products at scale with expertise spanning frontend, backend, and machine learning/AI.
  3. Strong in operations, team building, and product delivery.
  4. Deep technical knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  5. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  6. Passionate about cybersecurity and generative AI technologies.

Even Better If You Have:

  • Experience delivering generative AI solutions, including models, infrastructure, and training pipelines.
  • Familiarity with security concepts and tools such as threat detection, vulnerability scanning, encryption, or authentication.
