Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking an experienced relationship manager to drive revenue through high-value client engagements and strategic advisory. The role focuses on structuring complex deals, coordinating credit approvals, and expanding cross-sell opportunities within a key client portfolio.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in corporate banking, strong negotiation skills, and deep portfolio management capabilities to align client needs with bank objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Relationship Management, Account Management or Portfolio Management in a corporate or similar banking environment with sales metrics.
• Bachelor's degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred.
• If a Credit Qualifiable role, Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills per portfolio requirements.
• Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an escalation point for complex client issues, using strategic problem-solving to resolve conflicts and maintain strong client relationships.
• Leads the structuring of high-value, complex deals and credit approvals, ensuring alignment with client needs.
• Oversees credit approvals and drives pricing coordination, acting as the primary client advocate.
• Drives negotiations for high-value, complex transactions and credit approvals, ensuring deals meet client needs.
• Manages high-value client portfolios, driving cross-selling, retention and profitability.
• Implements cross-selling initiatives, expanding client engagement and revenue opportunities.
