Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead the Legal Discovery Management team within the Litigation Department.

The role supports identification, preservation, collection, review, and production of information for litigation, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations. The Senior Counsel will drive end-to-end eDiscovery projects, coordinate with attorneys, vendors, and IT, manage timelines, and pursue process improvements while ensuring data security and chain-of-custody

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum 5+ years of discovery experience in financial services, consulting, or top-tier law firm.
• Understanding of SDLC and secure handling of sensitive data.
• Familiarity with ESI procedures, preservation, and litigation support systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point-of-contact for legal teams, coordinating operational discovery activities.
• Respond to eDiscovery requests across data sources, ensuring chain-of-custody.
• Coordinate discovery lifecycle among attorneys, outside counsel, vendors, and IT.
• Manage matter milestones, budgets, custodian scoping, and production timelines.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to fulfill requests and restore data when needed.
• Oversee day-to-day matter details and understand business system uses for data requests.
• Liaise between eDiscovery team and global systems/data centers for requests.
• Support process improvements in eDiscovery workflows and documentation.
