Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President to join the Cyber, Technology and Information Security (CTIS) Risk Coverage team, focusing on digital assets. The role provides independent oversight of risks across the firm's digital asset ecosystem, including crypto trading platforms, custody solutions, and distributed ledger infrastructure.

The successful candidate will assess control effectiveness, challenge risk decisions, and influence remediation strategies with senior business and technology

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Cyber / Information Security preferred.
• 5+ years of technology or security risk experience, preferably in financial services.
• Experience with digital assets risk, including private key, wallet security and smart contracts.

Responsibilities

• Drive independent reviews of digital asset risk exposures across custody, trading and blockchain infra.
• Provide oversight of key digital asset risk areas including wallet security and smart contracts.
• Identify material control gaps and escalate to senior management.
• Improve risk visibility with metrics, reporting and scenario analysis.
• Influence business and technology leaders on remediation priorities.
• Participate in regulatory meetings and responses to inquiries.
• Build relationships within the CTIS risk community for digital assets.
• Engage with 2nd line colleagues to assess cyber risk impact on processes.
• Report on evolving technology and security risk issues and incidents.
• Support CTIS regulatory obligations for digital assets and DLT.
• Coach and train resources within the CTIS team.
