Job summary

MDS Foundation, Inc. seeks a Vice President of Development and External Affairs to lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy, major gifts, institutional giving, and external engagement.

The role drives diversified revenue, builds donor programs, and aligns research priorities with philanthropic opportunities to advance patient-centered initiatives. The position reports to the senior leadership team and leads development, marketing, and events to elevate visibility, partnerships, and sustainable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in nonprofit fundraising with increasing scope and responsibility.
• Proven ability to secure six- and seven-figure philanthropic gifts.
• Ability to build infrastructure, systems, and donor analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising strategy across all streams.
• Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of major and principal gifts.
• Lead unrestricted fundraising, grant management, and impact reporting.
• Oversee signature fundraising events, marketing, and external engagement.
• Translate research priorities into donor-facing communications and funding opportunities.
