Hospital for Special Care is seeking a VP, Chief Development Officer to lead philanthropy strategy and execution. You will partner with the CEO, Board, and executive team to secure major gifts, corporate partnerships, and campaigns that advance organizational priorities.

Reporting to the President/CEO, you will oversee all development functions, manage budgets, and build a high‑performing team dedicated to sustainable fundraising growth in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred in nonprofit management, business or healthcare administration.
• CFRE and/or FAHP certification strongly preferred.
• 8–10 years nonprofit development with 3–5 years in a director-level role.
• Proven seven-figure major gifts and corporate partnerships success.
• Experience partnering with CEOs and Boards on fundraising strategy.
• Extensive experience across major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, grants, events.
• Strong financial forecasting and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead philanthropy strategy and oversee development and foundation activities.
• Partner with CEO and Board to set fundraising priorities and goals.
• Direct capital campaigns, comprehensive campaigns, and endowment growth.
• Oversee major gifts, annual giving, corporate/foundation relations, and grants.
• Forecast revenue, manage budgets, and report to leadership and boards.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing development team.
