Job summary
Octave is seeking a Head of Data Platform & AI to lead the technical vision and execution across our data platform and AI/ML capabilities. You will own the data/AI foundation, set strategic direction with product and business leaders, and build the team required as Octave grows.
You will lead a Data Platform team, collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and business leaders, and contribute to architecture, prototypes, and evaluation of new technologies.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience building and leading data platform, data engineering, Data Science, ML, or AI capabilities.
- Experience architecting modern data platforms and production data systems.
- Experience partnering with Product teams to identify and deliver technically sophisticated capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Define Octave’s Data & AI Technical Vision.
- Develop and own the technical strategy and roadmap for Octave’s data platform and AI/ML capabilities.
- Own company-level KPIs spanning AI/ML and Data Platform areas.
- Partner with Product and cross-functional leaders to translate AI/ML opportunities into technical initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the existing Data Platform team.
- Build scalable data interfaces and products for analysts and engineers.
