Job summary

Octave is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to evolve our data stack and support an emerging AI/ML platform. You will design scalable data ingestion, transformation, and storage systems, drive end-to-end AI/ML workflows, and work with data scientists and product teams to enable reliable data pipelines and analytics.

The role emphasizes architecture, tooling, and best practices, with a focus on ethical, high-quality data infrastructure and collaboration across engineers, analysts, and PMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/DS/Engineering.
• 5+ years in data engineering or ML engineering.
• Experience with major cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Familiarity with data ops, CI/CD, and observability.
• Healthcare/regulated industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion/ETL pipelines.
• Develop end-to-end AI/ML workflows from ingestion to productionization.
• Support model development and production operations with observability.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers.
