The role leads the data platform and AI/ML strategy, building strong engineering practices and responsible AI standards while mentoring the Data Platform team and recruiting top talent to scale Octave's data and AI

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the technical strategy and roadmap for Octave's data platform and AI/ML capabilities.
• Shape company-level direction by bringing a data and AI perspective to decisions about where Octave competes and grows.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the existing Data Platform team while staying close to technical work.
• Recruit exceptional talent and build specialized capabilities as product and business needs warrant.
• Champion rigorous approaches to model evaluation, observability, and responsible AI.
• Establish strong engineering practices around data quality, testing, and reliability.
