Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York seeks a Vice President, Data Owner Lead within the Trust and Security team. You will be embedded in a collaborative analytics organization enabling data-driven decisions and protecting customers.

Your work will shape data requirements, define delivery specs, support reporting and AI/ML use cases, and drive data quality and governance across pipelines and datasets.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Advanced SQL proficiency (complex joins, window functions, CTEs) for data exploration, profiling, reconciliation
• Hands-on data testing experience designing and executing validation frameworks with documented pass/fail criteria
• 5+ years of experience in data management or data governance, including cloud platforms and big data technologies
• Experience developing roadmaps and cloud platform-based data lake/warehouse and BI dashboard environments
• Demonstrated examples of leading data publishing initiatives that improve insights while maintaining data standards
• Proven ability to apply data governance and compliance methods to reduce data risk and ensure appropriate data usage
• Exceptional ability to translate stakeholder needs into technical plans and communicate them across teams
• Experience applying agile practices and partnering with technology scrum teams to size and plan work
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Data, or related field

Responsibilities

• Implement strategic plans to deliver data solutions and data products
• Use SQL and data tooling to perform data testing and validation across datasets
• Document requirements for data sourcing, content, and quality; define integration and transformation rules
• Collaborate to document and classify data with metadata; ensure lineage and quality rules
• Provide SME on data content and usage within business and product areas
• Develop relationships with data providers and consumers; improve usability of datasets and data products
• Develop processes to identify and mitigate data risks across lifecycle; implement controls
• Support data analytics by governing data integration into analytics platforms
• Communicate and resolve data issues; drive remediation and preventative controls
• Leverage AI/ML and LLM tooling to automate governance and data management activities
