Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Vice President, Data Owner Lead in the Trust and Security team to shape data requirements, define data delivery specs, and support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives that enhance data quality and reduce risk.

You will collaborate with product, technology, design, and analytics partners; implement data governance controls, metadata, lineage, and quality rules; ensure security, privacy, and compliance across data pipelines; lead data publishing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Advanced SQL proficiency for data exploration, profiling, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
• Hands-on data testing experience with validation frameworks and evidence.
• 5+ years in data management/governance with cloud and big data tech.
• Experience building data lake/warehouse roadmaps and BI dashboards.
• Proven data governance and compliance experience to reduce data risk.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience leveraging agile methods with tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategic data delivery plans and data products to support operations and objectives.
• Use SQL and tooling to test, validate, and ensure data completeness and timeliness.
• Document data sourcing, transformation, and reconciliation requirements for curated datasets.
• Classify data with metadata and maintain actionable lineage, definitions, and quality rules.
• Provide SME on data content and usage across business and product areas.
• Develop relationships with data providers/consumers and improve usability of data assets.
• Identify and mitigate data risks; implement controls, monitoring, and audits.
• Govern data integration into analytics platforms and enable ML use cases.
• Triaging data issues, driving remediation, and enabling preventative controls.
• Leverage AI/ML tooling to automate governance and metadata tasks.
