Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a VP of Operations to lead data center project delivery across a growing national portfolio. Based in Austin, TX, you will drive performance across schedule, budget, safety, and client relationships while mentoring Project Managers and Superintendents.

You will oversee profitability, risk management, and portfolio execution across large-scale data center builds for a Top-25 ENR-ranked GC, with over 40 years of construction experience driving steady growth.

Qualifications

• 15–20+ years of construction leadership in data center projects.
• Proven GC experience delivering complex, large-scale facilities.
• Experience leading multiple project teams and senior operations staff.
• Strong understanding of MEP, structural, and civil construction.
• Ownership of project financials, schedules, and client relationships.
• Executive leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of data center projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Drive performance across schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability.
• Lead key client, design, subcontractor, and stakeholder relationships.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and operations teams.
• Oversee financial performance, forecasting, and project risk.
• Resolve escalated issues and drive consistent execution across the portfolio.
