Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a Project Executive for data center construction in Austin, TX. You will drive delivery across multiple sites, maintain strong client relationships, and mentor project teams through the full lifecycle of large-scale builds.

The role requires leadership across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes, with a focus on safety, quality, and on-time, on-budget results. This is a senior, client-facing role in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction management, including data center or mission-critical projects.
• Experience working for a general contractor or owner/operator with responsibility for large-scale project delivery.
• Strong understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support multiple project teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management abilities.
• Proficient with construction and project management software (Procore, MS Project, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for data center construction projects throughout the full lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary client-facing executive, ensuring clear communication, strong relationships, and successful project outcomes.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk management at a portfolio level.
• Support and guide project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure consistency and quality across all scopes of work.
• Lead high-level coordination with design partners, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company processes.
• Assist with preconstruction efforts, including estimating, planning, procurement strategies, and design review.
• Identify and resolve escalated project issues while driving continuous improvement in execution.
