Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead a team of data architects within the Asset Management Technology group. You will set strategic directions for AI-ready data platforms, drive governance, and guide cross-functional teams across Research, Portfolio Management, and Trading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; master's degree or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years leading data-architecture or technical teams, building high-performing groups.
• Proven ability to mentor architects and senior engineers toward staff/principal levels.
• Executive-level communication to senior audiences and stakeholders.
• Expert in SQL, PL/SQL, and modern data languages (Python, Scala, Java).

• Define and evangelize data architecture strategy across Asset Management Technology.
• Lead governance and standards for data platforms with design patterns and guardrails.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable architectural roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Build and develop high-performing data architecture teams through hiring and career development.
• Architect and deliver high-impact data solutions for ETL/ELT, data access layers, and polyglot persistence.
• Design reference architectures and accelerators to speed up time-to-market.
• Lead design reviews ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
