Job summary

NewAmsterdam Pharma Corporation seeks a Vice President of Corporate Communications to lead the communications organization and shape a credible external narrative as the company approaches potential commercialization. This executive will develop an integrated strategy spanning corporate, product, pipeline, executive, internal, digital, and media communications, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive communications leadership experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organizations, including leading corporate and product/pipeline communications functions.
• Experience serving as trusted advisor to CEOs and senior leaders in high-growth biotech environments.
• Experience in publicly traded or investor-facing life sciences companies.
• Demonstrated success in managing high-profile communications initiatives, issues management, and crisis preparedness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an integrated communications strategy across corporate, product/pipeline, executive, internal, digital, media, and reputation management.
• Partner with senior leadership to define and articulate the corporate narrative across external and internal audiences.
• Advise the CEO and executive leaders on positioning, messaging, thought leadership, media engagement, and reputation management.
• Lead communications planning for milestones including clinical data presentations, regulatory events, potential approvals and launch readiness, and major corporate announcements.
• Oversee product and pipeline communications supporting late-stage development and future commercial objectives.
• Build and protect the company’s reputation during potential first commercial launch and proactive issue preparedness.
• Lead media relations with healthcare, biotech, business, and financial media; position the company as a credible voice.
• Manage executive communications programs and internal leadership messaging.
• Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Investor Relations to ensure accurate, compliant communications.
