Job summary

NewAmsterdam Pharma seeks a Vice President, Commercial Counsel to support launch readiness and build commercial capabilities. This attorney will partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Compliance, and other functions to develop practical, compliant solutions that advance the business and patient access.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of pharma/biotech legal experience, strong business judgment, and deep familiarity with market access, trade, and patient support programs, plus the

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to at least one U.S. state bar.
• 10+ years of relevant legal experience advising pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences companies, in-house and/or at a law firm.
• Demonstrated expertise in market access, trade and distribution, and patient support programs, including healthcare compliance considerations.

Responsibilities

• Advise on Market Access, including payer engagement, formulary access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies.
• Counsel on Trade & Distribution, channel strategy, distributors, service-fee structures, and related contracts.
• Advise on Patient Support Programs, benefits verification, copay assistance, adherence, privacy, and hub relationships.
• Draft, review, and negotiate launch and commercialization agreements; develop scalable templates and processes.
• Provide practical legal guidance to cross-functional teams across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Compliance, and other functions.
