Job summary

Bank of China Chicago Branch is seeking a strategic Vice President in the Business Development Department. The role focuses on building and managing corporate loan portfolios, developing new syndicated and bilateral loan business, and mentoring AVP/Associates to grow the team.

The VP will lead client relationships, conduct financial analysis, perform due diligence, and ensure compliance with risk policies while driving cross-selling opportunities with large corporate clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• 5+ years in corporate/commercial real estate relationship management; 7+ years total experience.
• 7+ years in commercial lending preferred.
• Strong relationship management and marketing skills.
• Knowledge of risk management, assessment and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for customer relationships and manage client portfolios.
• Perform due diligence, analyze financial data and structure loan products.
• Coordinate with Credit Risk Management to ensure policy compliance.
• Oversee loan closing processes and post-lending monitoring.
• Identify cross-marketing and growth opportunities with the Branch and VP teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and bank policies.
